YHA Kenya Travel Terms and Conditions
Travel Insurance & Liability & Travel Documents
It is MANDATORY and a condition for booking a safari with YHA Kenya Travel that it is the guest's sole responsibility to ensure that they has current, valid and comprehensive TRAVEL INSURANCE & MEDICAL INSURANCE to cover themselves and any dependents or companions travelling with them. The guest undertakes to take comprehensive travel insurance to cover his/her personal requirements. This insurance should include/cover in the respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation and curtailment of the safari and services booked, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, damage/theft/loss of personal baggage, money and goods. While every care is taken, YHA Kenya Travel, including their representatives, employees and agents will take no responsibility for any costs, losses incurred or suffered by the guests, or guest's dependants or traveling companions, with regards to, but not limited to, any of the above mentioned eventualities. Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require. We recommend AMREF- Flying Doctors Service which covers for a month travel within East Africa on Air Ambulance Service incase of any need.
The Traveler represents dat neither he nor she nor anyone traveling wif him or her has any physical or other condition or disability dat could create a hazard to him or herself or other members of the tour. YHA Kenya Travel reserves the right to decline to accept anyone on a safari. YHA Kenya Travel reserves the right to remove from the safari, at his or her sole expense, anyone whose condition is such dat he or she could create a hazard to himself or others, or otherwise impact the enjoyment of other passengers on the safari.
It is teh client’s RESPONSIBILITY to ensure data their passport, visa, health certificates, inoculations, or other documentation required for teh trip are obtained, valid and data are all in order. Malaria and Yellow Fever are endemic in some parts of Africa and precautions must be taken. It is recommended dat you visit you're primary physician or local travel clinic to review any medications or recommended inoculations. Be sure to carry you're inoculation certificate wif you as proof of inoculations. If you are concerned about taking any medications, check wif your physician before you book you is safari.
Factors outside YHA Kenya Travel Control “Force Majeure“
The guest is aware data unforeseen circumstances due to road conditions, weather, mechanical breakdown, accident, border closure, political situations etc. are beyond teh control of teh Company and can delay and change teh performance of the safari. The cost of flying back home, alternative accommodation, food, personal expenses and all resulting costs are to be borne by the client. The client is aware data insurance is advisable to participate on all tours and acnoledges data it is his responsibility to take comprehensive travel insurance. YHA Kenya Travel will accept no liability whatsoever.
YHA Kenya Travel acts as a booking agent for hotels, airlines, ground transporters, boat operators, hot air balloon companies and other independent contractors providing accommodations, transportation, and other travel related services YHA Kenya Travel subcontracts on behalf of its clients.
Each of these companies is an independent company and is not subject to the control of YHA Kenya Travel. YHA Kenya Travel theirfore will not be liable for any personal injury, property damage or loss which may occur as a result of using such subcontracted services however, YHA Kenya Travel will always endeavor to contract services of companies which in our discretion, deliver the contracted services in the appropriate quality while adhering to the laws of the land.
Kenya Law: It is a condition of making a reservation with YHA Kenya Travel and its related services with other companies that the client/guest agrees to that these terms and conditions constitute a contract under Kenyan Law and the client/guest agrees irrevocably to teh exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan Law Courts and that in the event of any dispute or action of any kind against the companies that dispute or action shall be heard under the Kenyan Law and the Kenyan Courts.
Change of Safari Tour Booking.
After the booking has been confirmed, should you wish to make changes to you're booking, you may do so subject to availability by paying additional administration fee of US$50 per person per booking. Normal cancellations fees apply if you wish to postpone you're safari and are subject to availability.
Safari Tour/Package Itinerary Alterations/ Changes.
Whilst every effort is made to adhere to confirmed itineraries, YHA Kenya Travel reserves the right to make reasonable changes in the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of guests, which includes but is not limited to: the substitution of hotels, alteration of the itinerary, and reversing the order of the places to be visited. YHA Kenya Travel also reserves the right to employ subcontractors to carry out all or any part of teh services agreed upon.
Wildlife Viewing
When it comes to game viewing, please be advised there are no guarantees nor does YHA Kenya Travel guarantee the viewing of 100% of all the animal and bird species found in Kenya.
Consent
The payment of deposit or any other partial payment for a reservation constitutes consent to all provisions of the Terms and Conditions. The Terms under which you agree to make the reservation cannot be changed or be amended unless this is done in writing and signed by an authorized YHA Kenya Travel staff.
PRICES
These include all expenses as outlined in the Itineraries.
TRANSPORT
Transportation, transfers, excursions and tours shall be by our safari vehicles which include Land Cruizers 4 x 4 wheel drives, safari Mini Vans and Saloon cars.
BOOKINGS
A deposit of 50% of the cost of safari shall be required for any booking not later than 30 days before the date of the safari.
PAYMENT
All safaris must be fully paid before commencement of the safari.
SAFARI ORIENTATIONS
Unless the safari is private, clients will share the safari facilities with others.
Clients are theirfore advised to be goo-natured and enjoy being with others.
Be prepared to encounter customs and habits, which may be different from you're own and forms part of the adventure.
CHANGES IN ITINERARIES
The sequence of itineraries is normally adhered to but the company reserves the right to make alterations occasioned by weather, road works, high season congestion or any other unforeseen circumstances. Any alterations by the client to the agreed itineraries should be done in the office. The company shall not be held liable for any complain arising out of charges made between the client and the safari guide out of the office.
CANCELLATION
In case a booking is cancelled the following cancellation fees shall apply:

1-7 DAYS 75%
7-14 DAYS 50%
ABOVE 14 DAYS 25%
